# My Adorable Painted Halloween Pumpkins!

#### I was today years old when I learned I can PAINT my Halloween Pumpkins instead of carving them!!! 🤩 I’ve been carving pumpkins since my sons were little and it was a lot of fun…but using carving tools with little kids and making a big ol’ mess gets old (and scary) real quick. My sons are not little anymore but Halloween is still a BIG deal in our home. So when my buddies from KingArt challenged me to create decorated Pumpkins using only KingArt materials I was super excited to participate and try something new. I painted 3 awesome pumpkins with 3 adorable designs from my Tiny Tutorials and it was extremely fun!!! #### Let me show you my adorable painted pumpkins!

### Zombie Pumpkin

This Lime-head Zombie Pumpkin was inspired by one of my original Zombie designs from Halloweeny Tiny Tutorials. I used the stem to be his “hair”. Cute, right?

How adorable is this Pumpkin?! This is a quick and easy design anyone can paint!

When I was painting the other 2 pumpkins, I realized that painting pumpkins felt very similar to painting faces. So I painted this one as an ode to Face Painting. And yes, I painted the skull design using a face painting sponge…I’ll share the video soon!

### The KingArt Materials I used: [**KingArt Outdoor Acrylics**](https://www.kingartco.com/products/20-pc-outdoor-acrylic-paint-60ml-2oz-bottles?ref=mGq88) The Outdoor Acrylics are vibrant, go on smoothly and have such excellent coverage that I didnt even have to prime my Pumpkin. I just cleaned it and started painting. [**KingArt Acrylic Paint Pens**](https://www.kingartco.com/collections/paint-pens?ref=mGq88) I’ve never used Acrylic paint pens before, but let me tell you, these KingArt Acrylic Paint pens are incredible! I used the Medium Tip markers to outline everything on all my pumpkins. Just like regular acrylics, these pens provided amazing coverage and super vibrant colors. I gotta say, I will be using these awesome pens A LOT in my arts & crafts projects. [**KingArt Original Gold Brushes**](https://www.kingartco.com/collections/brushes/products/kingart-original-gold-9000-series-golden-taklon-round-set-of-8-1?ref=mGq88) I used the KingArt Original Gold Brushes to paint my pumpkins with the liquid outdoor acrylics. These brushes were excellent! The Taklon bristles are dense, soft and have excellent snap-back. They were awesome for painting all of my pumpkins and I will definitely be using them again for all my other acrylic based arts & crafts projects. In the gallery below you can see each pumpkin along with the amazing KingArt materials that I used to paint them.
